So my sister just passed an email to me with an article from the Washington Post in it. This is article supposedly won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing. It's a long article, and it will take time to read (especially if you read at my pace), but it's worth the time. It made me wonder how often I've missed the "roses" because I was too busy. I think tonight will be a great time to go home and just play with my daughter.

I've been asked to join a band. Actually, it's made mostly of our praise team from church, but they asked me to join. The groups name is Turning Point (click
here for details). We're based out of Raleigh, NC and perform contemporary christain music that was mostly written by band members. The guys in the group are awesome and I spend most of my time worrying I'm gonig to screw them up. So today we had our first gig, and it went off pretty well. I'll write more later.

As soon as we heard that the Lion King on Broadway tour group was coming through town, we knew we had to see it. On a weekend trip to MD, we got to see it in Baltimore, but because we purchased tickets so late, we had a blocked view. This time, we got great seats. I'll write more later.

We got to catch a performance of the Lion King stage show in Baltimore's Hypodrome Theatre. It was a phenominal show, and I would suggest to anyone who is thinking about seeing it.. GO! It's very worth it.
